Conservative-liberalism
This is the attitude created by Alexis de Tocqueville who investigated the American democracy. He tried to link together affection for the idea of freedom and free market reforms with critical estimation of democratic society culture and ethical principles. Conservative-liberalism means conservative values in social life and liberalism in economy. According to conservative liberals connection of policy of conservative morality with capitalist economy is the only model of the state that can function properly. Co-liberals think that ‘pillars’ of conservatism and liberalism create a security system which does not allow conservatism to transform into feudalism and liberalism into nihilism and anarchy.
Freedom
Conservative liberal sense means freedom to act, especially in economy, in particular in the possibility of unregulated by the state trade of alcohol, petrol and medicines. State cannot license economic activity. In public area it means freedom of religion, place of residence etc. however freedom of some people cannot be reached by violation of anyone else liberties.
Ownership
The right to possess is, by conservative liberals, treated as the basic and natural right of any single person. Any intervention by third party, including state and trade unions, in private ownership is unacceptable. Liberalism in economy means state removal from intervention in economy. It postulates privatisation, deregulation, radical tax cuts and abolition of tariffs.
Justice
It means opposition to ‘state focusing on’ so-called social groups, because each special treating of one group is an obvious injustice for others. Conservatism in social life means resistance to: abortion, ‘homosexual marriages’ (but not homosexuals), privileges and special treatment of some social and professional groups.
